
Cho Tak Wong, Founder and Lifetime Honorary Chairman of Fuyao Group, is an internationally renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist. Over the past four decades, Fuyao has developed from a small township factory in southeast China into a large multinational industrial group, with dozens of manufacturing, marketing and research bases in 12 countries and 18 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in China. Today, its products are used by auto brands such as Bentley, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Toyota, Volkswagen, etc., and the group ranks first in the world in terms of market share. In recent years, Fuyao Group has received various awards and titles for its innovation capabilities, such as the China Quality Award (CQA), Demonstration Enterprise for Intelligent Manufacturing, National Innovation Demonstration Enterprise, National Enterprise Technology Center, and Green Factory.
Chairman Cho Tak Wong has always been adhering to the motto of “respecting the law and giving back to society” and the traditional Chinese business principle of “righteousness and profit promoting each other”, offering suggestions to improve China’s competitiveness in the global arena, and committing himself to social welfare. Up to now, Chairman Cho Tak Wong has donated a total of nearly RMB 26 billion. In 2010, he donated 300 million Fuyao Glass shares held by himself to establish Heren Charitable Foundation, which is the first and only national non-public fundraising foundation approved by the State Council and founded with financial assets and stocks. Heren Charitable Foundation has funded nearly 260 charitable projects so far. In 2021, at the proposal of Cho Tak Wong, Heren Charitable Foundation donated RMB10 billion to initiate the establishment of Fuyao University of Science and Technology, it aims to cultivate individuals with an innovative spirit. He has also received such honors as the National Outstanding Individual in the Fight against COVID-19, the Award for Contribution under the National Awards for Poverty Alleviation, Outstanding Private Entrepreneur in the 40 Years of Reform and Opening Up, the Award for Donations under China Poverty Eradication Awards, the Phoenix Award, which is the most prestigious prize in the global glass industry, and EY World Entrepreneur of the Year. He is recognized as the representative of Chinese entrepreneurship and China’s top philanthropist.
In addition, Cho Tak Wong proposed and promoted the establishment of China’s first talent exchange market and he is the first entrepreneur who introduced the independent director system in China. He is also the very first winner of an anti-dumping case after China’s entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO), as well as a pioneer in establishing a non-public foundation through stock donations.
Tso Fai, born in 1970, is a member of the China National Democratic Construction Association. He holds a master's degree in business administration and is a senior engineer and senior economist. He currently serves as Director and Chairman of the Board at Fuyao Group and concurrently holds several social titles, including Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Member of the Standing Committee of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Member of the Central Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association, President of the Fujian Chamber of Commerce for Private Enterprises, and Honorary President of the Fujian Province Charity Federation.
Tso Fai joined Fuyao in 1989, starting from a grassroots position and serving as production team leader and workshop director successively. From 1992 to 1996, he served as President of Sanyi Development Limited and Fuyao (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd., responsible for overseas business expansion on all fronts. From 1996 to 2009, he served as Financial Director and President of Greenville Glass Industries Inc., the United States and President of Fuyao North America Inc., responsible for business development in North America. He led the team to deal with and win the first anti-dumping case after China joined the WTO. From 2006 to 2015, he served as President of Fuyao Group, leading R&D innovation, building nine national scientific research platforms, promoting the intelligent upgrading of production lines, establishing a systematic budgeting system, and improving the lean management system. From 2015 to 2025, he served as Vice Chairman of the company. During this period, he pioneered innovative governance approaches and actively explored pathways for development. His focus encompassed technological research and development, extending industrial chains, driving industrial upgrading, accelerating green transformation, and refining global operations. These initiatives significantly enhanced the Company's core competitiveness and global influence, making substantial contributions to its high-quality development. Besides, Tso Fai founded Fujian Triplex Investment Group Co., Ltd. (holding multiple subsidiaries) in 2018 and continues to serve as its chairman. He leads the extension of industrial chains, builds full-process capabilities in glass production, automotive aluminum trim, and glass assembly supply, and improves the industrial ecosystem.
His outstanding achievements have earned him the second prize of National Technological Invention Award, recognition as an expert entitling to Government Special Allowance by the State Council, designation as a high-level talent at the Fujian provincial level, and honors including "Advanced Individual from Democratic Parties, the Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Non-Party Members for Contributions to Building a Moderately Prosperous Society in All Respects" and "National Advanced Intellectual Property Management Worker in Enterprises and Institutions".
